World Game
|
It is much easier to engage with the World System Model through experience and interaction. The IFF World Game provides a way in which the players can engage with the complexity of the global problematique in a fun, non-threatening, interactive and highly creative way. The players may be groups in a business context, community groups, students or individuals seeking to broaden their capacities.
IFF has developed a number of versions of the World Game for different purposes and circumstances. It is best played face to face in a workshop setting – and around a specific issue or challenge. The horizon scanning of the nodes on this website can be used as an integral part of the world game – eg allowing players to investigate on-line a particular area which they can then ‘represent’ during the playing of the game. Or it is possible to prepare special briefs for the game relating directly to the challenge, or the geographical area, at hand. Some versions of the game have pre-prepared cards for each of the twelve factors, and a twelve-sided dice to generate random combinations of trends, challenges and opportunities.
There is also a simple version of the game available for download for use by small groups.
