*The oils in the Massage Oil can have the following effect when used:

Marjoram - The aroma is warm, penetrating and slightly peppery.  The outstanding property of Marjoram is its warming action, both on the mind and the body.  It is one of the best oils in treating asthma, bronchitis and colds.  It can help to clear chest and ease respiratory difficulties very quickly.  It can be massaged into the throat and chest to soothe tickly coughs, for it is warming, analgesic and sedative.  It is a very good remedy for insomnia.  It’s warm, nutty perfume is rather masculine than many of the oils that can help with sleeplessness.  It can be used to treat high blood pressure and heart conditions as it dilates the arteries, therefore reducing strain on the heart.  It is valuable as a massage oil for tired, tight and painful muscles.  It helps to carry away toxic waste left in muscles after heavy exercise.  It has a helpful action on the digestion.  It is used for its warming effect on the mental and emotional level too and can be a comfort for people who are lonely and suffering grief.
It is antispasmodic prevents or relieves spasms.  It lowers blood pressure and strengthens and calms the nervous system.
Caution: Avoid if pregnant

Ylang-Ylang – It can be a sickly oil but when used with Lemon or Bergamot it offsets the sweetness.  The most important physical property of Ylang-Ylang is its ability to slow down over-rapid breathing and over rapid heartbeat. These symptoms may appear when someone is shocked, frightened or anxious and, sometimes when they are extremely angry, and immediate use of Ylang-Ylang can be helpful in such circumstances.  It can be used to lower blood pressure and is an antidepressant and sedative and can help relieve stress and anxiety as it calms the nervous system.
Caution: too high concentration can cause nausea or headaches.
(Note this is not the case with this oil as it only has a low dosage)

Bergamot – has a delightful citrusy aroma and is liked by both men and women.  This oil is uniquely valuable for depression and anxiety.  It helps with mental and psychological states.  It is uplifting oil but is not a stimulant.  It lifts the spirit but is relatively relaxing.  It can be used to treat respiratory and digestive problems.  It is particularly good for insomnia or nervous anxiety.  It can be useful in reducing pain and reduces inflammation.  It is a good antidepressant and is a good antiseptic and antiviral oil.  It can be used to reduce odour and is good for calming the nervous system.
Caution: Bergamot is safe to use but it is a photosensitiser and increases the skins reaction to sunlight and can make the skin burn easily.  Never use Bergamot undiluted on exposed areas of skin before going out in sunlight as it can cause the skin to burn.
