GCPH Seminars

IFF has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with the Glasgow Centre for Population Health, since its establishment in 2004. As part of that collaboration IFF has organised an international seminar series exploring diverse views and perspectives on what might influence the health of a city like Glasgow and how to improve it. The first seminar took place in November 2004 with the philosopher A C Grayling talking on ‘Imagine the Perfect Polis: creating health in the city’.

Some 40 seminars have taken place since. For each one a transcript, presentation, audio and – for later seminars – video of the event is available to download – see links to the GCPH website below. Speakers have included a number of members of the IFF Clan such as Aftab Omer, Max Boisot, Maureen O’Hara, Tony Hodgson.

The eighth seminar series runs from November 2011.
